In Motion: Bonfire At Whirlpool Campground, Jasper National Park, Canada

During a Canadian summer, one of my favourite things to do is to gather up some camping gear, buy up some smokies and a case of beer, and head out to a site somewhere in the wilds of our great country. Fortunately, there is no shortage of places to do this in Canada, the 2nd largest nation on Earth, home to endless wilderness throughout, but there is no better place, in my mind, to go but Jasper National Park!

Home to breathtaking peaks, verdant evergreen forest, and pure isolation (no settlements for 228 kilometres between Jasper and Lake Louise!), it is the perfect place to cozy up around a bonfire with your friends … or just yourself, if you need a night or two to contemplate your life in meditative silence…
